Hi, I’m Richard – a cyclist who loves raw speed more than the grind of endurance. While most riders obsess over weight, training volume and endless aerobic miles, my focus is on sprinting and the variables that actually govern peak velocity: power, aerodynamics (CdA), and the interaction between torque, cadence, and acceleration.
Sprinting is a physics problem as much as a physiological one. You don’t win a sprint by being light – you win it by producing the highest possible watts over the shortest possible time while minimising resistive forces.
If you’ve ever felt the thrill of launching out of the saddle and watching the world blur, you’re in the right place. This blog exists to document that process. If you’re interested in cycling as an optimisation challenge rather than an endurance contest, you’ll find plenty here.
