While most riders obsess over weight, training volume and endless aerobic miles, my focus is on sprinting and the variables that actually govern peak velocity: <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\"><strong>power<\/strong><\/mark>, <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\">aerodynamics (CdA)<\/mark><\/strong>, and the interaction between <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\">torque<\/mark><\/strong>, <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\">cadence<\/mark><\/strong>, and <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-3-color\">acceleration<\/mark><\/strong>.<br><br>Sprinting is a physics problem as much as a physiological one. You don\u2019t win a sprint by being light &#8211; you win it by producing the highest possible watts over the shortest possible time while minimising resistive forces.<br><br>If you\u2019ve ever felt the thrill of launching out of the saddle and watching the world blur, you\u2019re in the right place.
